Painting Tips!

Here are some tips that help with painting. We put small letters and pieces on masking tape and paint away. All of the red items go on one piece of tape, all the white on another… makes them easier to paint. We also use both brushes and makeup sponges!

Another tip…after you use your makeup sponges, toss them in the water you have your brushes in. Rinse them all out after you are done and set out to dry! You can use the sponges over again too!

I “stained” this with paint and a baby wipe
I used 2-3 colors on almost every piece
I lightly dabbed yellow on “Corn Maze”, several coats without getting paint into the letters
After I painted this white, I went over it with brown on a baby wipe for a rustic look

I have alot of wood glue, so I put it in this pet bottle and it works great! I put an unused tip on the bottle when I’m done to keep it from drying out – then clean this tip out and set it aside until I need to glue again.
